Material, Care & Size Guide
Velvet refers to the weaving of materials like cotton, silk, or wool and is historically seen as a symbol of prestige. The nap of the velvet (small raised hairs) are responsible for its smooth and soft feel and influence the glossiness of the fabric. If matted it can appear in patches and look like stains, that can easily be brushed out. It is the perfect material for suits, jacketing, or gowns but is of very delicate nature.
To enjoy your velvet piece for a long time, avoid exposure to fluids as that can leave unwanted stains. Only dry-clean and hang to air dry. Should wrinkles or pressure stains occur you can use steam to remove them easily. Make sure to not touch hot iron to the fabric, hover a few centimeters above.
